Team Ultra Field Day: 9a-2p on the MCHS campus (inside or outside pending weather); Education sessions and TU games; Wednesday, March 31, 2027.  No school sessions this week.  Only TU Field Day.  This ends TU for the year.

• WHY TEAM ULTRA?  Promote CHARACTER and PHYSICAL health.
• MOTTO:  “We R.E.E.P. What We Sow…AND THEN SOME” (RESPECT OTHERS AND SELF; EFFORT IN ALL THINGS THAT WE DO; EATING HABITS; PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/  “AND THEN SOME” IS A CATCH PHRASE IMPLYING EXTRA EFFORT WITHOUT THE PROMISE OF BEING AWARDED OR RECOGNIZED FOR DOING SOMETHING MORE THAN WHAT WE ARE ASKED TO DO;  YOU DO IT SIMPLY TO DO BETTER AND BE A BETTER PERSON;  EXAMPLE:  I DID MY MATH HOMEWORK…”AND THEN SOME”  WHY? TO GET A BETTER GRASP ON THE SUBJECT MATTER AND BECOME BETTER AT DOING IT.
• KEY TO SUCCESS IN LIFE: 3 words “…AND THEN SOME” SUCCESS DOES NOT EQUAL MONEY, FAME, SOCIAL STATUS, OR POSSESSION OF MATERIAL THINGS.  MONEY, FAME, ETC. ARE NOT NECESSARILY BAD THINGS.  HOW WE USE THEM DETERMINES WHETHER THEY ARE “GOOD” OR “BAD”.  Want to be successful?  Three words…and then some.  Do your work…and then some; meet the requirements…and then some
• LEVEL 6:  We use Kohlberg’s Stages of Moral Development to promote Character Health.  Right and wrong exist.  Why do we do the right thing?  Level 1: stays out of trouble     Level 2: to get a prize    Level 3:to get praise from another person  Level 4:  It’s a rule         Level 5: considerate of others     Level 6: you have a moral code that you follow no matter what; even if it costs you, you do the right thing.
